A Look at North Wales

This post is especially for my mom. Here's a bunch of links for interesting things to do in North Wales. If I miss something good, everybody, please feel free to comment me and let me know!

Dolwyddelan Castle is verrrry cool.

How about the Legend of Beddgelert? This one always gets me...

How about a 12th century monastery, The Penmon Priory on Anglesey.

There's also an early 19th century castle where they filmed Prince Valiant in 1996, Gwrych Castle.

Here's a general info site on Snowdonia.

A little about Betws-y-Coed and the Fairy Glen.

A good historical fiction read, one of the best I've read in a lonnnng time: Here Be Dragons, by Sharon Kay Penman.

Well, there's a start. It should give you something interesting to look at. Enjoy!

Are you going overseas?! I saw your post on Knatty Knitter and put together with today's post- being the Nancy Drew I am- I deduce a trip to the Emerald Isle is on your plans. How exciting! How wildly jealous- in a happy for you kind of way- I am!!

Also, I still can't get over your yarn dying skills. THEY ARE GORGEOUS! So next question, do you sell what you do? Because some of us would love to know. Because THEY ARE GORGEOUS. Have I mentioned that? I need to lay hands on some orange varigated sock yarn for my Swap Pal's next gift and having seen your's- and THEY ARE GORGEOUS- I had to ask.

Have a fantastic weekend. GO VOLS!

oh cool, the village I live in has a fairy glen too and an oak forest that is so old it's mentioned in the Book of Cells!! OK let me get right on the castle stuff, havent heard of a castle 'hotel' but I'm sure there is one...my Ma would know. Also dont worry bout the ferries, they run all year long. And if you are going from Dublin to Belfast, then I insist that you stop for an hour or 2 where I live, it's called Rostrevor in County Down. It is one of the most beautiful places in the whole of Ireland and it is directly on your route from Dublin to Belfast. And if I'm home I'd love to show yous round ;) I swear it's worth it....

And as for your comment, thank you so much for the support. I was in a bad mood last night *:)* I really appreciate it and I know I'm up for the challenge so it's all good. And I promise not to knit during childbirth, I doubt I'll remember how to breathe let alone knit during it ;)
